what a sweet family portrait! love your blog and sense of design/style. I am a former graphic designer now in the 'craft' world... and having a wonderful time!
aww, Brooke, Brooklyn misses you! especially at this time of the year, I don't even want to think about Halloween without you. I also haven't stopped wearing the flip flops even though it was very chilly at carroll park this morning.
Great image! Lucky you. In Seattle it's freezing in the mornings (52 degrees while driving to school this am) but warm to hot in the afternoons...very pretty.
Here in Nebraska we had a few cold days that made me think summer had truly come to an end. And then...summer again! Extended days of grace. At a picnic last Sunday flocks of geese flew overhead, in perfect formation, headed South. They squawked just as they passed out of sight, as if to say, "Good-bye, sweet flip-flop wearing, bar-be-cue grilling, frisbee-throwing summer days!"
I just love those little brown salt water sandals! We have a pair that look to be just about that size that so far all of my boys (well, the baby hasn't worn them yet as his feet are too tiny, but probably next summer..or the following as he is a tiny one) have spent a whole summer wearing.
I just looked at your entire blog, it's full of such great images. I've heard how talented you are from your family. Hopefully I'll get to meet you some day.

Love the photo! I'm not putting mine away yet either. Even if my feet are cold, it's my way of denying that the snow is coming!
