off to alt

I'm off to Alt Design Summit in the morning! I hear it's freezing in Salt Lake, so I'm digging out all my cold weather clothes and saying goodbye to my family for a few days. If you're headed to Alt too, please stop and say hello... I'll be speaking on the Work/Life Balance panel on Thursday morning. Wish me luck!

Hi Brooke,
Just wanted to say hello -- my husband and I sat next to you at the Friday lunch/keynote. It was so lovely to meet you and chat! Also have been toodling around Inchmark, and it's beautiful! Excited to keep up with what's next. :)

Could you post a few little insights from your talk? I'd love to hear them!

I have marveled at the grace you seem to have in your work/life relationship since I've begun reading your blog (for a long time now). I'm so sad I missed Alt this year--I remember thinking when I attended last year that I would've loved to hear you speak. Would you share some insights you have on keeping that balance and especially on your decision to do your blog the way you have. It's very authentic and a respite to visit from so many over the top blogs--I love it!

I agree with Dani! Do you mind sharing some of your talk here, on your blog for those of us snowed in and in need of new perspectives? Would love to hear an updated take on things by you. As always, Inchmark inspires...

Hello! Hi! I just wanted to extend a HUGE thank you for your thought provoking panel!

I'm a mom of a 3 year old and I work very hard to try to balance work/life/creativity. You really helped me gain clearer perspective of my approach to maintaining balance in my life. Juggling! Balls! Each one with different weight. Ones I cannot drop and ones I can! So much easier to comprehend than a scale that never balances....or a line that goes up and down.

Also- good call on the no cellphone usage at playgrounds. I really need to CONNECT with my child or everything else falls downhill.

THANK YOU THANK YOU!
