sinking eggs
My little boy C has asked me every day this week if it is time to "sink eggs". It took me a minute to realize he was talking about dying eggs, which we do each Easter.
I love the beautiful eggs my friends make using natural food dyes.. but I opt for the PAAS kits, I hope you'll forgive me. There is something about the little fizzing tablets that takes me back to my childhood. The kids think they are magic.
I love Easter... lots of fun, but somehow less filled with pressure and holiday stress than Christmas. We roll pretty low key around here. An egg hunt, church, a walk with Grandma and Grandpa, dinner with family, and some strawberry shortcake. Perfect.

I forgive you and would love to know where you got those cute egg shaped dying cups, were they in a PAAS kit as well? :o)
I know what you mean about Easter - it is nice to have it be so fun and yet relatively low pressure. I saw some eggs like those in your link on 3191 a couple of weeks ago and admired them, but I too am a PAAS person.
So few people celebrate Easter the less commercial it is the more fun it is. It's not about buying presents its about spending time with family.
i love how vibrant the paas eggs turned out. the marbled eggs look great - far superior to anything i remember creating!
These eggs look great! My son is only 6 months old this year, so maybe next year we'll do more Easter type stuff and enjoy dying some eggs!
Beautiful pictures and such lovely eggs! My daughter is 1.5 years old now and i didn't 'sink' eggs this year. Looking at these gorgeous photos i regret it now. Next year for sure!
I used the same kit. I am saving the cups to reuse next year.
We finally dyed eggs this year. Have never used these fizzy tablets, they sound fun!
Your eggs look lovely...and that cute little hand in the last photo ~ ! I have often thought about buying extra kits to do throughout the year because my children so enjoy the egg 'sinking' process!
two cute! so glad you had a good time. xo joanna
Something about that last photo with the dyes spills on the egg carton brought me back to my own childhood. I could almost smell the vinegar. Thanks.
pretty pretty ohh
