where I'd like to be..

Hanging out with a magenta octopus and a few gnomes at Heather's book party, starting in just a few hours. Oh, I wish I still lived in Brooklyn and could just hop on the train and see so many of my favorite people.

I will have to toast Heather and John and Melanie from way out here in California. If you haven't checked out Heather's book Weekend Sewing,  I suggest you do so.. It's a lovely book, and I'm so happy to have been a part of this team.

I'll be posting some photos later this week from our Weekend Sewing photoshoots, and I'll be doing my first blog giveaway, a copy of Heather's book..  so stay tuned.

I have to say that I have read your entire blog now and I find that it is one of the most peaceful blogs out there. I find that your writing, subjects and photography are just a breath of fresh air.

Thanks so much for sharing everything!

I LOVE that book! (can you hear me squealing?) I haven't bought it because money's a bit tight, but I spent hours poring over it in the bookstore. Can't wait till you post that giveaway, and I wish we could *all* have gone on over to Heather's book party!

Psst: I'm doing my first giveaway on my site right now!

Awesome book! Too bad I am not close to Brooklyn either as I would love to attend a book release party, it just seems like it would be so much fun.

I just got my copy in the post two days ago. was very excited! Heather's interview on the Purl Bee pretty much sold it to me and i bought it then and there and decided i was going to learn to sew. i've already got lots of good tips from the book and a basic knowledge, just need mum's expert coaching for the tricky things and i'll be off! you did a great job designing it! x
