color story #5

I have always been a fan of light and bright teals paired with red. The teals can even be more on the bluer side, like the bottom right swatch, but you have to stay clear of bright blues or it starts to feel a little Fourth of July. I love this pairing so much I once did an entire identity in it for photographer Lisa Hubbard. (she's wonderful, by the way)

More to come on what I've been using this stack for...

I just saw this combination in a movie costume, and now I can't remember which one. The lead actress was wearing a dark teal wool coat and red boots, and it looked so good! I was trying to picture the color wheel in my head and figure out why it was so stunning. But which movie was it? Brideshead Revisited? Ghost Town?

This is one of my favorite color combinations, too! It is one of my go-to groupings for dressing in the summer--so fresh and crisp. I wish I had more rooms in my house to feature all the color combinations I love!

In my past life I was an event planned and we had a client use this color combo on her wedding invitations. I've been a fan ever since and even did my son's nursery in this combo. I simply love it (though truth be told, I hope it doesn't catch on). ;)
