found objects

I spent a lot of time walking around Brooklyn with my kids in the stroller, and there was always some lovely treasure sitting on the sidewalk waiting for me. Dry cleaning tickets, valet parking stubs, and a plethora of playing cards.

I am geekily excited about this site, B. And I made your taco soup last week. Big hit. Now we're going to try the pumpkin enchiladas. The recipes were a wonderful gift. I love it. And you!

These remind me of all the things Maira Kalman has found on the streets. Gotta love the beauty in the simplicity (and the fact that they are priceless treasures).

love this post! I never really bother to look down at my feet and picking things up... but this looks great as a collection, I'll be keeping my eyes peeled from now on :)

I love seeing someone else finding and picking up playing cards. I am "lucky" enough to live near a downtown casino, so I find lots of cards on walks in our neighbourhood. I'd like to gather a whole deck - the more run-over the better...
